When the body produces a high oil production that typically appears in areas where the skin will flake off or appear in patches of scaly like patches that also slough off now that is just gross.
Eczema is a common form of the body sloughing off skin but not for the reasons of over productive oil glands, in fact quite the opposite. Eczema is where there are patches of very dry skin that flakes off or is itched to the point of a bloody sore and if the person continues to itch that area the skin may become infected and fill with puss that can leech into clothing or be spread to others. Now that is just gross!
For a person with dandruff the skin will have a red, flaky, patchy appearance, and the renewal of skin is faster, meaning more dead skin is shed, making the dandruff more noticeable. People with dandruff may experience irritation and redness of scalp and on the skin.
As you have read this is a contagious disease that needs some attention immediately. The best thing you can do for you and those around you is to get to a doctor and get a medication that kills the lice and the eggs. You will have to shampoo with a special, medicated shampoo and comb through the hair in very small sections with a small toothed comb to get all the eggs. This does take patience and is not for the light stomach kind of person.
Dandruff shampoos- although they contain zinc and vitamin b they do not have the proper chemicals to actually kill lice- which is a bug. Don’t take this condition seriously, you do need medical help, and please remember not to take it personally, it’s not a condition that only hits those in low-income areas, or dirty people, no it is a condition that is easily spread and anyone can become a host if contacted with it.
